After more than 20 years in television Art finally gets the chance to work near family.

His mother and brother both live in Beaverton.  Getting to live and work near family is a dream come true.

Art comes to Portland from WDIV-TV in Detroit, where he spent more than eight years as a reporter and anchor.  Art started his career while in college in Northern California first as an intern, then production assistant at KPIX  in San Francisco.  He's worked at stations in Las Vegas, New Orleans, Raleigh North Carolina and Cleveland.

While in Cleveland, Art earned a regional Emmy for his work on a public affairs special entitled "Tough Choices".

Art is absolutely thrilled to be here in Portland and looks forward to exploring the area and meeting as many people as possible.

In his spare time, Art spends time with his wife and two children loves to read mystery/crime novels and play tennis.  He's always looking for a match.

You can catch Art weekdays on Koin Local 6 Early with Jenny Hansson, Christine Ferreira and Carly Kennelly from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., and on the noon newscast.
