VANCOUVER, Wash. - Vancouver Police are asking for help in locating a woman and her children who have been reported missing by family members.

Nelya F Nikolaychuk is a 44-year-old Caucasian women 5'3" tall, 160 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. Police believe her six children are with her. The children range in age from 4 years to 12 years old.

They were last seen the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 5. There has been no contact since that time.

A note left at the family home said the group was traveling to Minnesota, presumably to visit Nikolaychuk's parents.  But the parents knew of no plans for a visit, and nobody has heard from the mother or her children, who have no cell phone.

Boris Nikolaychuck says his wife has metal health problems, but he believes she is on the road to Minnesota.  He called Vancouver police, who have assigned major crimes unit detectives to investigate.  They have alerted authorities all over the west and on routes to the upper midwest, but so far police here have not been told of any sightings.

Police are trying to locate Nikolaychuk's vehicle - a 2005 Kia Sedona mini-van, tan in color, Washington license plate - 563YIC.

If you see the family or their vehicle or have any information of their whereabouts, call Vancouver police or 911 right away.
