Plant Trees in Clark County, Washington!
Clark County is recruiting volunteers for six different tree planting events in February!

Vancouver Tree plantings are scheduled for February:
- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Feb. 3, at Brickyard Park, Lincoln Avenue between 31st and 32nd streets.
- 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Feb. 4, at First Place Park, Northeast 15th Street and 151st Avenue.
- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 18, at Fircrest Park, Northeast Fifth Street and 122nd Avenue.
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, February 25, St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 426 E Fourth Plain Blvd - Vancouver Urban Forestry and Friends of Trees Neighborhood Planting - The biggest Vancouver FoT planting of the year, the west side planting boasts a great breakfast and lunch as well as their very own Bike Crew. Yes, one of the planting crews will be doing it all by bike. Vancouver’s Mayor Timothy Leavitt will be participating, too. To find out more or to sign up, you can email Katie or call 487-8327.
- 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., February 28, Vancouver Watersheds Alliance will be hosting a free screening of Dirt! The Movie. The screening will be held at the downtown Fort Vancouver Regional Library. There will be food and a great discussion to follow with a panel comprised of our Urban Forestry staff, the director of the Master Composter/Recycler program, and a landscape designer! This is a family friendly event.

The City of Vancouver is accepting nominations for our Mac Award, named in memory of one of our most active and enthusiastic tree volunteers, the award recognizes individuals, organizations, and businesses that have made a significant, positive impact on Vancouver's urban forest.
You can submit a nomination for your tree hero by March 20. The winning recipient will be recognized at our community April Arbor Day event.
