First, the snow: ski resorts are on track a storm total of 2-3 feet of snow by sunrise Sunday. Mountain passes see snow, but roads are mainly wet during the day because of highs around 38 or so.

Showers continue Friday night – turning into rain overnight and very early Saturday. Then, scattered showers turn to steady rain Saturday afternoon, with a shot of heavy rain for a little bit Saturday evening. So that’s your 50% wet forecast.

The 50% dry: most of Sunday is dry, in fact Sunday afternoon we may get a decent shot of sunshine!! Rain’s back Monday.

Saturday details:

Coast: Showers early, with rain and southerly winds of 30mph developing. Highs: 50-55.

I-5 Corridor/Willamette Valley: Showers early, rain developing afternoon. Highs: 50-54.

Gorge: Showers with west winds 15-25 most areas. Highs: 47-55.

Cascades: Another 5” to 10” of snow Saturday, more Saturday night. Highs: 31-39.

Central/Eastern Oregon: Breezy with scattered rain showers at lower elevations, snow showers above about 3,500 feet. Highs: 47-56.
