Cast aluminum furniture

Cast aluminum furniture is made by pouring liquid aluminum into molds and then allowing it to cool into the desired shape. The molds are carved by hand, so intricate detailing can be achieved. Each part of the furniture is molded separately, then ground down and polished. For the final product, the pieces are either welded or bolted together. Cast aluminum can be coated with smooth or textured finishes in single colors or a mixture of several. This type of aluminum furniture is solid, so it weighs more than tubular aluminum. The additional weight and resistance to rust make it good for outdoor use. This type of furniture is often a little more expensive, but it is quite durable, requires little maintenance, and can be exquisitely detailed.
