A school bus was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Lebanon that left a driver and 9-year-old boy with minor injuries Monday morning.
At about 10 a.m., a 1987 Ford pickup rear-ended a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria that was stopped on a westbound lane of the highway waiting to turn left. According to Oregon State Police (OSP), the collision pushed the Crown Victoria into an eastbound lane, where it hit a Lebanon Community School District bus that was carrying three children.
None of the occupants of the school bus were injured. The driver of the pickup, 43-year-old Allen M. Manley of Lebanon, suffered a minor injury but declined transport to a hospital. A 9-year-old boy riding in the Crown Victoria was taken to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis with minor injuries, where he was treated and released.
OSP did not confirm what prompted the initial collision or whether any drivers have been cited. The incident remains under investigation.
