A Portland man charged with 11 counts of sex abuse in a Newberg Craigslist sex ring recently approached others about killing a girl he is suspected of abusing.

Robert Dwain Thompson, 35, faces charges of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct (three counts); rape in the third degree (three counts); and sexual abuse in the second degree (five counts). The charges stem from a 2009 Craigslist sex ring involving Darrin Daily, Patricio Moreno, David Garcia and Alisa Nice.

Lisl Miller, prosecuting the case for the Yamhill County District Attorney's Office, said the witness is the same teen girl who Thomspon abused in the sex ring.

Daily posted advertisements to Craigslist in early 2009 soliciting other adults to engage in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl. The girl was also forced to have intercourse with a dog and was tied up on some occasions, according to Newberg-Dundee Police.

One of the men who responded to the online posting was Thompson, who participated in sexual acts with the girl.

Over one year later, police now believe Thompson approached others about possibly killing the teen girl.

When asked whether solicitation charges may come against Daily--the other three suspects pleaded out--Miller said: "I can't answer that. I can tell you he (Thomspon) is the only one that's been charged."

Seven counts affiliated with Thompson's new charges include: Solicitation to commit aggravated murder (four counts); solicitation to commit murder (two counts); and solicitation to commit arson in the first degree.

This is not a mistake, like ooops I fell into a 14 old who was forced to also have sex with another animal. He is what he is and jail time can not change that nor will drugs or therapy. Find me a reported case where a child predator has been cured and maybe then jail time would be punishment enough. No time wasting a trial on him, enough already I am sure there are mountains of evidence. Take him outside, torture him and mutilate his body for the whole word to see and move on to the next one. I am sure the population of Gresham and Newberg would be cut in half in less than a year.

NO amber his kids dont mean squat to the "crimes" not mistakes this man has commited. Stop enableing and defending him with your excuse that it was a mistake. A mistake is like ordering your dinner with onion when you meant not to. This is not even on the same playing field.

What this man and the others as well that were a part of this "ring" all need and will pay the price in the long run for what they have done. I say let him rot in prison as you know what prisoners do to men that hurt little children in this way. In prison he will get just what he gave.

If this person was a family member of yours you would really kill him? You cant honestly sit there and tell me that if he was your dad, uncle, brother, son that you would kill him. And I dont even know him and yes it is a horrible disgusting mistake but again it is a mistake and he will pay for it. All i am saying is that he may have a family somewhere out there. they are probably really angry with what he has done but they still deserve to have him alive whether he's in jail or not. What if he has young kids? Don't you think its only fair for them to be able to confront them when they get older? I think dealing with your family in a situation like this is more of a punishment than anything.

If found guilty this guy deserves 99 years in prison. After 99 years of lock up I think he'll have learned his lesson and his chance of recidivism will be near zero by then. I think it's time to build more prisons.

Amber are you kidding me? Wake up honey your attitude for this type of crime is alarming. Mistake? This man made the mistake with sexual contact with a 14 year old. If after all that plotting to kill her is still a mistkae in our book than your nuts. What is he your uncle, friend, or other family member?

I think that we should put him in a room with no window and that is full of parents. If he lives he can go free, if he lives. And yes I will cast the first stone without hesitation, people like him dont deserve to live, whether he has a family or not.

All people make mistakes. You have to be joking that is not a mistake that is act of a predator, a malicious act of victimizing a human being. My bullet is too good for him and cost too much to even spend on him. I say we take all predators out with death by hanging that way we can reuse the rope.
