Sisters Leslie and Leesa Azar, hikers missing in the Gorge since Monday, were found just after 12 p.m. Tuesday, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said.
The siblings, both in their 50s, went on a hike in the Gorge about 2 p.m. Monday, and last talked to family members at about 6 p.m. telling them they were heading home, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
A search began in earnest sometime before dawn Tuesday.
Leesa is a Lake Oswego doctor, Leslie works for Beaverton bakery.
The pair are experienced hikers with cell phones, but searchers had been concerned they were not prepared with the proper clothing for cold and windy overnight conditions.
Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Mary Lindstrand said the two were "doing well and walking on their own."
